The perfect fall pumpkin treat with a white chocolate coating. Easy, quick and most of all attractive to sit there on your table for the holidays.
Halloween or Thanksgiving celebration are the best occasions for preparing these little desserts. It’s not difficult and can be made in a short time. I have to admit that this was the first time in my life that I melted white chocolate. The first one wasn’t so good, it had little crumbs and I had to use the other one, different manufacturer, just to get the smooth melted chocolate. It was tempting for me not to eat it before I coat the balls. 🙂 In that case the balls would be left bold and not that appetizing as they are now.
White Chocolate Pumpkin TrufflesPRINT RECIPE
- 3 1/2 cups of golden Oreos - finely chopped
- 4 ounces of cream cheese
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 cups white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup gingersnap crumbs
Use finely chopped golden Oreos, cream cheese, powdered sugar, pumpkin puree and cinnamon, mix them until the batter is nicely combined. Put it in the refrigerator for a half an hour. When it’s chilled form 1 inch balls and dip them into the melted chocolate. If the balls are cold enough more chocolate will stick to it. Immediately sprinkle the truffles with gingersnap crumbs.
I always have the spare amount of ground crackers if the mixture isn't good enough for forming balls.
